About
Dr.G is a Korean dermocosmetic brand made by Gowoonsesang Cosmetics and grown out of the Gowoonsesang skin clinic in Seoul. It says it examines each ingredient against scientific data rather than simply carrying the popular ones, and its shop is arranged by concern first — acne, calming, pores and sebum, dryness, dark spot, anti-ageing — and line second.
The lines are named for what they are built on. R.E.D Blemish is the largest, running from cleanser to cream to sun stick for breakout-prone skin. Royal Black Snail covers nourishing and firming, Dermoisture Barrier D the dry-skin basics, RTX the serums, A'Clear the spot patches.
Three claims on its product pages are worth unpacking. The pH Cleansing Gel Foam is described as removing sunscreen, fine dust and pore impurities, with a 5-Biome and Filaggrin complex keeping skin moisturised. The Green Mild Up Defense Mineral Sunscreen is presented as a physical sunscreen for sensitive skin. And the Brightening Peeling Gel is aimed at tired, sensitive and hyperpigmented skin.

Worth it?
Start with filaggrin. It is a protein in the outer layer of skin that breaks down into the humectants holding water there. A 5-Biome and Filaggrin cleanser is aimed at protecting that supply: lift sunscreen and sebum, leave the barrier undisturbed. Surfactants and pH decide it. The low-pH gel cleanser below is where we'd start.
Physical is the more useful word: zinc oxide and titanium dioxide sit on the surface rather than sinking in. They mostly absorb UV, as organic filters do, and they are the two filters permitted in every market. Korea approves sun filters as functional cosmetics; the US regulates them as drugs with a much shorter list, so one name can mean two formulas. Mineral filters are the ones that travel, and the sunscreen below uses only those.
The peeling gel does something you can see: it lifts surface dead skin so texture reads smoother and light reflects more evenly, and over a few weeks that is what shows as brighter. The black rice ampoule below does the same job.

How to use

Cleanse with the gel cleanser on wet skin, then toner, then the snail essence in a thin layer, then the cica cream over it. Sunscreen last in the morning, applied generously and blended rather than swiped, since mineral filters sit on the surface and need working in. The peeling ampoule goes on after cleansing, and it is mild enough for daily use.
