About
Etude House, which trades as ETUDE on its own site, is a Korean beauty brand based in Seoul, named for the musical étude — the practice piece that turns into a melody.
Its collections carry the range. SoonJung is the soothing skincare line; Moistfull Collagen the hydrating one; AC Clean Up and Wonder Pore work on breakouts and pores; Sebum Soak on oil. On the colour side, Dear Darling holds the water tints, Play Color Eyes the shadow palettes, Double Lasting the base.
Three claims from SoonJung's own product pages are specific enough to check. The pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser is sold on a pH-balanced formula and a lather said to minimise friction during cleansing, plus a 10 Free list naming exactly what is left out — animal-derived ingredients, mineral oil, synthetic pigment, fragrance, polyacrylamide, silicone oil, imidazolidinyl urea, triethanolamine, PEG surfactant and paraben. The 10-Panthensoside Cica Balm states 10% panthenol. And the 2x Barrier Intensive Cream is described as strengthening skin's resistance with a protein barrier.

For the barrier cream job, the closest formula we send: panthenol and madecassoside both sit in the list, alongside niacinamide, squalane, mango seed butter and adenosine. Rich without sitting heavy, and it layers as an overnight pack on nights skin feels tight. Vegan formula, last step of the routine.

For the water tint job: a 35% water tint under a clear high-shine coating, so it reads dewy rather than heavy. A juicy coral that flatters warm tones and sits happily on neutral ones, with mango and apple extracts and vitamin E acetate. One swipe for a glow, two for full colour.
Pink Collagen Power Eyelash Serum

For the lash serum job. Hydrolyzed collagen at a stated 250ppm with four peptides, biotin, caffeine and panthenol, in a water-gel that is not sticky. A cosmetic conditioner that leaves lashes looking fuller and better conditioned, with no prostaglandin analogues, which is why it suits daily use. Round-tip applicator along the lash line.
Worth it?
The pH figure first. Skin's surface sits at roughly 4.7 to 5.5, mildly acidic, and that acidity is part of how the barrier works. Soap-based cleansers run around 9 or 10 — that is the tight, squeaky feeling. At 6.5 a cleanser is still above skin's own range, so pH-balanced here means much closer than soap. A real improvement; nearer 5 is better still, and the low-pH gel cleanser below is what we'd reach for.
The free-from count tells you what the brand chose to leave out, and this one names its ten, fragrance among them — useful if you avoid one of them specifically. Read the ingredient list alongside it for what is in. The wild yam toner below is fragrance-free and runs to sixteen ingredients.
A stated percentage is the most checkable claim — 10% panthenol is a real amount of a real humectant. A name like 2x Barrier points at what the formula is for, so read the list for the amounts. The B5 cream below carries both panthenol and madecassoside.

How to use
ETUDE publishes ingredient lists rather than directions, so this order is for the picks above. Cleanse with the gel cleanser on wet skin, then the toner pressed into damp skin rather than wiped. Barrier cream over that, or layered as an overnight pack on nights skin feels tight. Your own sunscreen every morning as the last skincare step. Makeup after, and the lash serum along the lash line morning and night. Introduce one product at a time and give it a fortnight.

What is skin's natural pH, and why does a cleanser's pH matter?
Skin's surface sits around 4.7 to 5.5. A cleanser is the step most likely to disrupt that, so one nearer skin's range leaves less tightness.
