mixsoon
We carry four mixsoon products, and soybean turns up in all four. Two are everyday hydrators, the Bean Essence and the Bean Cream. The other two are mild peeling ampoules built on rice.
About
mixsoon is a Korean skincare brand based in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and it builds its range one raw ingredient at a time. Bean, cica, galactomyces, bifida, collagen and PDRN, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C each get their own line, across essences, toners, moisturizers, cleansers, masks and lip care. On the cleansing side that means the Bean Cleansing Oil and the Centella Cleansing Foam, and the galactomyces line centres on the Galactomyces Ferment Essence. Those sit in mixsoon's wider range, alongside the four we carry.
The claims it publishes are unusually specific. It headlines the Bean Essence as a four-ingredient formula — the ingredient list runs to seven, four of them ferments: soybean, pomegranate, barley and pear. Both the Bean Essence and the Bean Cream are made with a 72-hour fermentation and a low-temperature extraction. And mixsoon publishes an order for its own routine rather than leaving you to guess it: after cleansing, toner, then water essence, then essence or ampoule, then cream, lotion or oil.
The rice side works differently. The Black and White Rice Peeling Ampoules are built on rice seed water and rice ferment filtrate, with soybean and a plant-derived PDRN alongside, and both are written as daily peeling rather than an occasional strong one.
Three claims are worth unpacking: what a four-ingredient list buys you, what 72 hours of fermentation changes, and whether peeling you can repeat nightly is doing enough to count.
Worth it?
Start with the short list. Four ingredients means little in the bottle isn't doing the advertised job, which helps if you react easily. It does not mean stronger, and with no texture agent in the way the Bean Essence stays light and fast-absorbing, easy to layer or to press in on its own. The Bean Essence below is where we'd start.
Fermentation next. A 72-hour ferment and a cool extraction is a real process choice: fermentation breaks larger molecules into smaller ones and leaves amino acids behind. What that buys is comfort rather than force — and bean-derived amino acids, skin-conditioning and moisture-supporting, are exactly what you want a cream for dry or combination skin built on. That is the Bean Cream below.
Then daily peeling. These ampoules polish: they smooth surface texture gently, and mixsoon places them in the essence step of its own published order, after toner and before cream. That is why they are written for nightly use. If dryness bothers you more, take the Black Rice ampoule below; if dullness does, the White Rice.
All four picks below are mixsoon's own products. This is a brand we stock, so you can read its claims and then buy the bottles here.

Bean Essence
MIXSOON$354.5 (185)
Start here. A lightweight essence built on fermented soybean, with fermented barley, pomegranate and pear alongside, the pomegranate acting as a mild AHA. Massage a generous amount in to smooth texture, or pat it on after cleansing for hydration alone. Mild enough for sensitive skin.
Black Rice Peeling Ampoule
mixsoon$404.2 (50)
A daily peeling ampoule that takes the nourishing route. Black rice extract brings nutrients and glow, rice ferment filtrate and rice seed water replenish moisture for a smoother, firmer feel, and soybean plus plant-derived PDRN condition skin. Pick it if dry skin wants feeding.
White Rice Peeling Ampoule
mixsoon$404.3 (27)
The same daily-peeling idea, aimed at tone instead. White rice brightens and clarifies, soybean replenishes hydration for a smoother finish, and the same plant-derived PDRN conditions skin. Both are mild and suit dry skin, so pick this one if dullness bothers you more.
Bean Cream
MIXSOON$354.5 (66)
The essence's other half, and the pick for dry or combination skin: a fermented-soybean moisturizer with bean-derived amino acids, from the same 72-hour, low-temperature process. Panthenol, adenosine and meadowfoam seed oil sit behind them. It goes on last, and a thicker layer can be left overnight as a sleeping pack.
How to use
mixsoon publishes its own order: toner, water essence, essence or ampoule, then cream, lotion or oil. The Bean Essence has two methods: massage a generous amount in to loosen dead skin and smooth texture, or tap it on after cleansing until absorbed for hydration alone. The Rice Peeling Ampoules go on after cleansing, smoothed along the skin until absorbed, daily on their own or layered in. The Bean Cream is last, smoothed evenly, with a thicker layer left overnight as a sleeping pack when skin is dry. The picks above sit in that order: essence, ampoule, cream.

Questions
Is mixsoon a Korean brand?
Yes. We carry its Bean Essence, Bean Cream and the two Rice Peeling Ampoules.
Which mixsoon product should I start with?
The Bean Essence — it suits all skin types and doubles as a hydrating or a gentle texture step.
What is the difference between the Black Rice and White Rice Peeling Ampoules?
Emphasis, not strength. Black rice leans toward nourishment; white rice leans toward tone.
Is the Bean Essence an exfoliator or a hydrator?
Both. Massaged in it loosens dead skin; patted on it hydrates. The fermented pomegranate is a mild AHA — polish, not peel.
Can I use the Bean Cream as an overnight mask?
Yes. Smooth a thicker layer on as the last step of the evening and leave it overnight as a sleeping pack.
