Abib

Abib is a Korean skincare brand made by Fourcompany Co., Ltd. in Seoul, and it sorts its range into named ingredient lines: Heartleaf, Jericho Rose, Sedum, Glutathione and a PDRN line, sold through its own Korean and global stores. Its best-known single item is the Abib Collagen Eye Patch, a collagen patch for the under-eye area.

Each line carries its own published figures. The Heartleaf line is built on Houttuynia cordata that Abib says comes from Jirisan, and it is positioned as mildly acidic — the Heartleaf foam cleanser lists the extract at 2,100 ppm, alongside salicylic acid, centella and panthenol. The PDRN line puts two numbers on the front: PDRN, which Abib describes as salmon DNA, at 15,000 ppm, and Volufiline at 10,000 ppm. The Jericho Rose lifting collagen wrapping mask describes collagen particles under 300 Daltons, with peptides alongside.

Three are worth unpacking: what mildly acidic and a ppm figure tell you, what the PDRN and Volufiline numbers come to once converted, and whether a weight in Daltons changes what collagen does.

Start with the mildly acidic claim. Healthy skin sits around pH 4.7 to 5.5; soap-based cleansers run far more alkaline — that is the tight, squeaky feeling. A cleanser formulated near skin's own range avoids most of that swing. The 2,100 ppm heartleaf figure works out at roughly 0.21%, a real supporting inclusion. The skin-pH-friendly centella pad below is where we'd start.

The PDRN numbers reward the same conversion. 15,000 ppm is 1.5% and 10,000 ppm is 1% — ordinary inclusion levels once translated. The tranexamic acid ampoule below states its actives in percent instead, 5% tranexamic acid and 5% milk exosomes.

The Dalton figure is the most technical. Daltons measure molecular weight, and skin's outer layer is a poor gate for large ones, so smaller collagen fragments are a fair reason to expect more to get past the surface. Those fragments then work at the surface, holding water so skin looks plumper. The step none of those five lines is built around: sun — the sun stick below earns its place.
