Purito

Purito presents itself as Purito Seoul, a Korean brand named for the Korean word for purification and built line by line around single Korean ingredients: centella asiatica, deep sea water, hydrangea, bamboo, starflower, minari and oat.

What sets it apart is how specific its product pages are. The Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream is labelled a 10% panthenol barrier cream, with bamboo extract from Damyang at 3,497 ppm. The Wonder Releaf Centella Serum Unscented gives centella extract at 34,860 ppm and centella callus extracellular vesicles at 10 ppm, grouped as its 4-in-1 Cica Active Complex. The Oat In Calming Gel Cream runs on 77% oat seed water from Gunsan. The Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ promises no white cast and names its four filters: diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate, ethylhexyl triazone, bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine and methylene bis-benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol. The Cica Clearing BB Cream carries the same centella idea into base makeup, as light coverage rather than a skincare step.

Three are worth unpacking: what 10% panthenol buys you, what a ppm figure tells you, and why a sunscreen leaves a cast.

Start with the panthenol. It is provitamin B5: a humectant that also supports the barrier, so it holds water and helps skin keep it, and it is among the best-tolerated ingredients in skincare. Ten percent is a generous level, and panthenol's job is making reactive skin comfortable rather than changing tone or texture. The dexpanthenol barrier cream below is where we would start.

The ppm figures are worth reading. 3,497 ppm is roughly 0.35 percent; 34,860 ppm is roughly 3.5 — a measure of how extract-led the base is, since the figure covers the whole extract rather than the active inside it. Standardising four centella actives under one name is a real formulation choice, and centella's job is soothing and barrier support. The cica serum below pairs that with two forms of vitamin C for tone.

The no-white-cast claim is a filter question, and those four names are why it holds: organic filters absorb UV and tend to disappear, while zinc oxide and titanium dioxide absorb UV and also scatter visible light, leaving a soft film that reads more on deeper tones. One property, two uses — invisibility is what you want from a sunscreen, and a light-catching veil is the point of the peach tone-up cream below.
